Warren Alperstein Interviewed Regarding Mosby Lawsuit

Five Baltimore Police Officers have filed suit against State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, alleging that her actions during the prosecution of the Officers’ trials were negligent and malicious. Mrs. Mosby acted as an investigator in the case of Freddie Gray’s death, which means her immunity to lawsuit and compulsion to testify could become void.

Alperstein & Diener Partner, Warren Alperstein was interviewed by CBS Baltimore regarding the impact that the lawsuit brought against State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby could have on her office.

Mr. Alperstein spoke of the Officers’ desire to have Mosby testify during any potential hearings. He stated, “In a civil case like this, you as a defendant don’t have that right. You must testify or be held in contempt of court,” said Alperstein. “It is unprecedented. It is unheard of.”
