Warren Alperstein Offers Prediction for Rice Trial
On Thursday, July 15, 2016, Judge Barry Williams heard closing arguments in the trial of Lieutenant Brian Rice. Rice is charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office for the arrest and death of Freddie Gray last year. Judge Williams’ is expected to return a verdict on Monday, July 18th.
When asked about his prediction for the trial outcome, Baltimore defense attorney Warren Alperstein stated, “I wouldn’t be surprised on Monday, if there was an acquittal on all the counts.”
