Andrew Alperstein Offers Trial Insights to CNN

Following the outcome of the trial of Officer Cesar Goodson, CNN correspondent Miguel Marquez reported on the disconnect between what the witnesses to the arrest of Freddie Gray reported to have happened, and what state prosecutors have claimed during the trials.

Andrew Alperstein—an attorney for Baltimore firm, Alperstein & Diener, P.A., and Legal Analyst—spoke of the incongruity between the witness reports and prosecutors’ statements stating, “It is quite common that there are great differences between public opinion and the admissible evidence in a criminal court.” Mr. Alperstein also added, “In a highly charged and emotional public case, these legal protections can seem unfair to people who are dissatisfied with a trial’s result.”
