For Christopher P. Wheatcroft – please change it to reflect the following: Chris was born and raised in San Diego, California, he left in 1988 to join the USAF. He received an Honorable Discharge from Active Duty in January of 1992 and returned to civilian life both working and attending school. Chris moved to Baltimore in 1995 to attend UMBC, from whence he graduated in 1997, cum laude, with a degree in Political Science. Chris then attended the Law School at the University of Maryland and graduated with Honors in 1999. During his Law School years Chris served on the Journal for Health Care Law and Policy, and also worked for Peter G. Angelos in the statewide Tobacco Litigation. Chris then changed employment to work as a law clerk for the State’s Attorney’s Office for Baltimore City. After passing the bar exam and being admitted to the Maryland Bar Chris was employed for 7 years as an Assistant State’s Attorney, serving in the District and circuit courts. Chris trained many new prosecutors in District Court, and ultimately was assigned to the Sex Offense Unit in the circuit court.

Arthur Alperstein requested that Chris join the firm of Alperstein and Diener in September of 2006 and Chris agreed and has been with us ever since.

Mr. Wheatcroft began his legal career by serving as Law Clerk to the Hon. Joseph T. McCurdy. He also held a position as Assistant State’s Attorney in the State Attorney's Office of Baltimore City from 1997 to 2001.
