Mr. Alperstein graduated from George Washington University with a B.B.A. degree in 1990 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1993. During law school he served as Editor of the Maryland Extradition Manual, was a member of the Student Bar Association and held the position of Law School President. He was admitted to practice law in Maryland in 1994 and in the U.S. District Court, District of Maryland in 2001.

Mr. Alperstein is a member of the Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Maryland State Bar Associations. He is also a member of the National District Attorney Alumni Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Association.

Mr. Alperstein hails from Baltimore, Maryland and has devoted his practice to serving clients throughout the State of Maryland. He began his legal career in the State's Attorney Office in Baltimore County holding a position as an Assistant State’s Attorney from 1994 to 1999 as well as serving as the Assistant State’s Attorney in Charge of Juvenile. He was distinguished as the Recipient of the Governor's Citation for Outstanding Service in 1999.
