Warren Alperstein Talks Violence in Baltimore on Square Off

On Sunday, October 11, 2015, Square Off Baltimore featured Councilman Brandon Scott, Bob Scherr, Deana Frank and Alperstein & Diener attorney, Warren Alperstein. In an effort to diminish the increasing violence in Baltimore City and promote a changing culture, the panel members discussed their own opinions for the cause of the violence and strategies for preventing it from escalating even further.

Mr. Alperstein notes, “There is no question whatsoever that the increase in crime that we’ve seen over this summer and into the fall is a direct result in the significant decrease of the number of arrests…The vast number of rank-and-file police officers do not believe that city government, City Hall and the State’s Attorney’s Office have their back.”

The panel also presented their thoughts on the upcoming Democratic debate, which is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
